Lecturer in Contemporary Islam, University of Chester— LIMITE : 04/08/2022

The Department of Theology and Religious Studies is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Contemporary Islam to provide cover for Dr Caroline Tee while she completes a three-year research project funded by Templeton Religion Trust.
You will bring scholarly expertise in Contemporary Islam and will assist with the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate modules as well as some administrative duties and the pastoral support of students. You will join a department with an excellent record and reputation in research and teaching. 
You will demonstrate a high level of teaching skills, be highly motivated and resourceful, have strong IT skills, be able to work in a team and be committed to producing high quality research. Disciplinary specialism is open, but you will hold a PhD in an area related to the study of contemporary Islam and will have a demonstrable ability in academic administration.
