Although we are a sociology journal, we accept articles from the fields of Sociology, International Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, Geography, Economics, Islamic and Middle East Studies, History, Religious Studies, Gender and Women Studies and other sub-fields within the broader sociological framework.
The study of muslim societies is a new and developing sub-discipline within sociology. As a result, we receive many submissions and we seek to treat each individually and carefully. This takes a considerable amount of time.
