The University of Stavanger invites applicants for a Ph.D fellowship in the research field religion, society and culture at the Faculty of Arts and Education, Department of Cultural Studies and Languages. The position is vacant from 1 August 2021.
This is a trainee position that will give promising researchers an opportunity for academic development leading to a doctoral degree.
The appointment is for three years with research duties exclusively.
The primary focus in the position is the interplay between religion and gender in a contemporary perspective. Different topics can be addressed within this broader field of research, including the significance of gender in religious processes of change or gender perspectives on religious diversity, rights issues, or climate change. Projects that address other societal challenges related to the research field are also of interest.
