Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success.  West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Department of History invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Islamic world with the ability to teach courses on the rise of Islamic civilization as well as courses relevant to the modern Middle East and survey courses in world/western civilization.

The teaching load is 4 courses per semester and may include teaching at off-campus sites and/or through distance learning.  Applicants must demonstrate successful college teaching experience and provide evidence of scholarly promise.

Earned Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.

Ability to supervise student-teachers and/or the ability to teach online/hybrid courses a plus.
