Visiting Assistant Professor, Arabic / Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Rollins College – NOW

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Rollins College invites applications for a full-time, one-year appointment as a visiting assistant professor of Arabic, to begin August 1, 2018.

Candidates must have at least an M.A. and preferably a PhD in Arabic, or in a related field, such as linguistics or Middle Eastern Studies, native or near/native language skills in Arabic with additional knowledge of one or more dialects, training in second language pedagogy, experience teaching at the US university level, and demonstrated ability to develop innovative second language curricula. Teaching load is 4-4, with half the courses in Arabic, and the remaining courses contributing to the Middle Eastern and North African Studies minor or the general education curriculum at Rollins College.
