Assistant Professor position in Digital History with particular interest in Middle Eastern Studies and/or the Islamic World, University of Nevada, Reno (Etats-Unis) — LIMITE : 15/10/2013

The History Department at the University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Digital History to begin in the fall of 2014.

Qualifications: We encourage applications from candidates who have a methodological and research specialty in digital history including the practical and theoretical issues involved its study and interpretation. The applicant must have a PhD in history or related fields. Time period, specialty, and geographic region are open. The Department has particular interest in candidates who can expand departmental offerings, such as Middle Eastern Studies and/or the Islamic World. Candidates must have completed their PhD by July 1, 2014.

Principal responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester, advising senior theses, and working with graduate students as needed. Courses include upper-division period sequence, survey courses including a digital history class, and other courses in areas of interest.
