Appel à participation : call for membership in the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) — LIMITE : 30/09/2013
Announcement for membership_AGYA
This new bi-lateral academy aims to establish a framework for international research cooperation between Arab and German young researchers (3-10 years after their PhD) . It is carried out as a joint initiative of the Junge Akademie (at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina), and the Arab World Academy of Young Scientists (Arab-WAYS). It is additionally supported by the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
The academy will consist of 25 young researchers from Germany and 25 young researchers from Arab countries (Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen).
While the Arab world is experiencing a dynamic transition, it is especially important that young Arab and German researchers intensify their contacts and establish new forms of cooperation. Addressing this challenge, the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) will bring together outstanding Arab and German researchers of the young generation and provide them with comprehensive tools and administrative resources required for innovative joint projects and cooperative initiatives in various fields of research and education in Sciences and Humanities.
This project in its start-up phase will be financially supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).”
