​The department of Political Science at Syracuse University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics. We will accept applications from all subfields of Comparative Politics, but are especially interested in candidates who work on development, democratization, or the environment. The political science department is housed within the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and is committed to excellence in both teaching and research, to methodological pluralism in political inquiry, and to exploring relations between theory and practice. Successful candidates may be invited to affiliate with the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs or one of Maxwell’s other interdisciplinary centers (http://www.maxwell.syr.edu/centers/).
