The Department of History at Furman University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor in the history of the Islamic world to begin fall 2016. Chronological and geographical focus remain open but the department is particularly interested in candidates with the ability to teach the Middle Eastern survey courses and a possible field in North African History.
The department values excellence in teaching and active scholarship. The successful candidate will have a degree in hand by August 2016.
