he Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Persian Literature, to begin Fall 2016.
Applicants’ primary research focus should be on modern Persian literature and culture. Candidates with additional demonstrated competence in teaching pre-modern Persian literature and in Persian language pedagogy are especially sought. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and advanced undergraduate, as well as graduate, courses. Ph.D. is expected by July, 2016.
