Wick Cary Assistant Professor, Political Economy of Development in Africa, Univeristy of Oklahoma (États-Unis) — LIMITE : 15/10/2015

The University of Oklahoma’s Department of International and Area Studies (IAS), a thriving academic department in the expanding College of International Studies, invites applications for the Wick Cary Professorship in development studies in Africa at the rank of assistant professor. The teacher-scholar hired for this position will deliver undergraduate and graduate courses on development and Africa, will be expected to maintain a high level of research productivity, and will contribute to an active African Studies program spanning several departments and colleges. We are interested in candidates trained in development economics, political economy, or in related fields in social science disciplines, who demonstrate a commitment to fostering inclusivity and mentoring members of underrepresented groups, and whose work addresses the intersections of development with social differences, such as class, ethnicity, race, and gender.
