Assistant Professor of Arabic Linguistics (tenure-track), Georgetown University (États-Unis) — LIMITE : 10/10/2015
The Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the field of Arabic Linguistics, with preferred specialization in applied linguistics, starting in August 2016.
The successful candidate will have a completed Ph.D. with a clearly demonstrated specialty in Arabic Linguistics. A strong record of teaching and clear research program is expected; near-native fluency in Arabic is assumed. It is desirable that the candidate demonstrates a solid background in classical Arabic, grammar, and texts.
The candidate is expected to offer undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise doctoral research in relevant fields, advise Arabic majors, and play a leading role in strengthening the program and complementing the research and teaching interests of other faculty members in the Department.
