The History Department at Manhattan College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position with a teaching field in the history of Africa or the Middle East. Candidates must be able to teach upper-division history courses on Africa or the Middle East, as well as a post-1500 European survey. Research field within these three geographical regions is open, with a strong preference for a non-West specialist. Receipt of the PhD is expected by the time of appointment.
