Call for Doctoral Scholarships – The Center for the Study of Conversion and Inter-Religious Encounters (I-CORE), BGU

The Center for the Study of Conversion and Inter-Religious Encounters invites applications for a number of doctoral scholarships starting 1st October 2015.

The scholarships will be for four years and the value of the scholarship will be around 50,000 NIS per academic year dependent on whether the candidate has other sources of funding.

The candidate will be expected to carry out research in areas relevant to the study of conversion and inter-religious encounters in the Medieval and Early Modern periods and to contribute materials to the database on conversion which is one of the mainstays of the Center. The candidate will take part in the academic activities of the Center and will be given working space at the Center.

In the first instance, the candidate should initiate contact with a possible supervisor from amongst the Senior faculty of the Center (http://in.bgu.ac.il/en/csoc/Pages/Members.aspx) and get their initial agreement to supervise them. The application should include the name of the potential supervisor, a current CV, a detailed research proposal, and two letters of recommendation which should be sent directly by the referees to the e-mail below:
