Tenure Track Position in Modern Middle East & Maof Fellowship or Allon Fellowship, Department of Middle East History, University of Haifa, Haifa (Israel) — LIMITE : 01/08/2015
The Department of Middle East History at the University of Haifa, Israel, invites applications for the following tracks:
(1) Tenure track position in modern Middle East. The position is open to any rank and is pending budgetary approval by university administration.
(2) Nominees for Maof Fellowship or Allon Fellowship, open field. Successful applicants will be nominated to early-career fellowships for scholars holding Israeli citizenship, administered and awarded by the Israeli Council of Higher Education (Allon/Maof Fellowships,http://www.che.org.il). Fellowship winners will be granted a university position with full faculty responsibilities and are guaranteed tenure evaluation by the University.
Applicants in both tracks must have Ph.D. degree and a demonstrable commitment to both teaching and research. The successful candidates will be expected to teach four courses per year (undergraduate, graduate), supervise theses, and carry usual nonteaching duties. Primary teaching language: Hebrew. Salary according to scale. Positions beginning October 2016.
