The successful candidate will explore Internet enabled new media practices and political Islam among the South Asian diaspora in the UK and Germany. Ethnographic fieldwork among the diasporic Islamic communities and major organizations for political Islam connected to South Asia is expected. A background in Islamic studies or proficiency in Urdu/Arabic is desired.

This full time fixed-term post for two years will begin in July 2015   proposal must be sent by email or mail before 15 May, 2015.
