This course intends to offer critical tools to interpret the situation, acquainting students on the one hand with the basic concepts of classical Islamic Law, and on the other with contemporary issues and “hot topics”. The course (42 hours) is addressed to students of Islamic Studies who want to deepen their knowledge of Islamic law, students of Law who want an introduction to Islamic Law, and anyone interested in the Middle East.
