The Department of History and Geography at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the history of the Middle East/North Africa (MENA), specific geographic area and chronological period of specialty open. Evidence of scholarly potential and commitment to undergraduate teaching essential; teaching experience preferred.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 4:4 load at all levels of the graduate and undergraduate curriculum; upper-division courses and graduate seminars in field of specialization, World History, and historical methods. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop interdisciplinary courses and collaborate with other programs on campus. The department, college, and university emphasize excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Ph.D. required at time of employment.
