Assistant Professor – History of the Middle East and/or South Asia (tenure-track), Rider University, New Jersey (Etats-Unis) — LIMITE : 01/10/2014

The Department of History at Rider University seeks applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor level in the history of the Middle East and/or South Asia in any period. The position begins September 1, 2015.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in his or her specialized fields and a world history survey, as well as periodically to offer a research or methods seminar. PhD required. Evidence of scholarly potential and commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential; teaching experience preferred. The Rider University community is composed of faculty, staff and students from a wide range of culturally diverse backgrounds.

Candidates with a demonstrated commitment supportive of the multicultural needs of Rider University and the surrounding community are highly desired. Rider is a private, coeducational university located near Princeton, NJ, and within easy driving distance or train ride to New York City and Philadelphia.
