The Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in modern Middle Eastern and North African history, to begin September 1, 2014, pending budgetary and administrative approval. The appointment is for one year, renewable for a second year.
We encourage applications from scholars whose research interests complement the department’s strengths in comparative and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of the Middle East and the Muslim world. Candidates must have the Ph.D. by the time of appointment and be prepared to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses.
