ONLINE Meeting of the “Forum for the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) in Arabic Scripts”, Harvard University and University of Strasbourg, 25 June 2026

The Forum seeks to establish a collaborative space for:
• Centralizing researchers working on TEI in Arabic-script materials (Arabic, Ottoman Turkish, Persian, Urdu, and related corpora). • Sharing existing resources for encoding and editing practices.
• Discussing various workflows and pipelines, as well as possibilities for automation of annotation, data extraction, and visualizations, including the use of large language models (LLMs) and other computational methods.
• Identifying opportunities for shared infrastructures and future collaborations.
