Appel à communications et panels : Colloque “Iranians and other Middle Eastern Immigrants : their Contributions to American Society”, Université de Chicago (Etats-Unis), 17-18/10/2014 — LIMITE : 15/08/2014

The 2014 conference, co-sponsored by DANESH Institute and the University of Chicago Center for Middle Eastern Studies, will, focus on a variety of topics related to the recent history of immigration from Iran and other Middle Eastern countries to the United States, psychosocial and economic adjustment of such immigrants, cultural and social implications, immigrants’ contributions, their success stories, and other related topics.

The Conference Planning Committee invites submission of proposals for papers and panels.  Papers may be empirical or conceptual studies, and panels may focus on a particular theme.  Paper and panel proposals should include the following information:

1. Name, institutional affiliation, postal address, e-mail address, and phone number(s) of the paper’s author(s) or panel chair;
2. A brief biography of the paper’s author(s) or panel chair;
3. The title and an abstract of the paper; or
4. The title and an abstract of the panel.
